Installation instructions for ABC Express iOS 6 or above

New features

  • The design is updated to have a similar look and feel on both iOS and Android mobile devices.
  • Login to Skye and Pro Entry both, or login only to the system with your orders. If you login to both systems, your Packing List and Nearby Serves will be merged. If you don't have a Skye username, just login with your Pro Entry username and password and leave the Skye login fields blank.
  • The Notifications panel in the Main Menu displays a red background as an alert when a Skye order requires a response or an edit from you.
  • The About panel in the Main Menu now includes queued events since your last Sync date and time.
  • The About screen includes info about your last sync time, your version of the app, and which system you're logged into: Skye, Pro Entry or both.
  • US Military membership is a new question in the "Serve" workflow.
  • Residence Type is a new question in the workflows for: "Serves," "Attempts," and "Bad Addresses."

Installation guide

Uninstall Previous Versions

(If you have never installed ABCExpress before, skip this step)
  1. Navigate to the ABC Express icon on the device, and press and hold your finger on the icon until the icons start to shake and an X appears on the icon.
  2. Release and click the X on the icon, and a popup will appear asking if you want to delete ABC Express application.
  3. Select button to Delete the application.

Install new version

  1. Open the Safari browser on the 4.x (or higher) device, and navigate to the iOS Download Page.
  2. Click the link "ABC Express 2.1.0 (iOS)" to install the ABC Express application.
  3. Once the install process has finished, you should see ABC Express icon on your device.
  4. Congratulations! You're now ready to log in and start using the app.

Tips

  • We recommend that you double-check attempts, serves, etc. entered on the phone with the website to ensure everything looks correct. Pay special attention to the declaration text and look for anything that appears different than how the web works
  • When we decide to roll out an update to this application, you'll see a notification pop up on your phone. At first these will be just reminders but eventually your app will stop working if you don't update. It might be easier to copy the link (press and hold down, then choose copy) on the iPhone and email it to yourself so you can get this link onto your computer.
  • Login to either or both Skye and Pro Entry. If you login to both systems, your Packing List and Nearby Serves will be merged. If you don't have a Skye username, just login with your Pro Entry username and password and leave the Skye login fields blank.
  • Manually sync your device when you have a good wireless signal or preferably with a Wi-Fi connection if possible. If you are making serves in an area with low cell coverage, you should make sure that your Packing List is fully loaded before you start your day. Whenever possible, connect to a Wi-Fi signal when you first load your packing list in the morning.

Known Issues

  • You must have iOS version 4 or above to use this application.
  • Trying to view 15+ photos from your History tab may crash your application.
  • Updates to your Packing List will not immediately be available on your mobile device. If you know changes have occurred to your assignments you can try syncing your device, but be patient. It can take a while for these changes to be available to the mobile device.
